THE AWARENESS BELL IS HANDCRAFTED BY A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ARTIST/MOUNTAIN BIKE ENTHUSIAST WHO SPENT HUNDREDS OF HOURS TO DESIGN BOTH BEAUTY AND TIMBRE. IT IS BOTH FORM AND FUNCTION WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY. THE BELL IS 100% TIG WELDED STAINLESS STEEL FITTED WITH A PATENTED CNC STRIKER THAT CAN BE EASILY TURNED ON AND OFF. THIS BELL WILL PERK UP EARS AND TURN HEADS. THE BELL CAN ALSO BE CUSTOMIZED WITH YOUR INITIALS TO REALLY MAKE IT YOUR OWN. THE AWARENESS BELL COMES WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR REPAIR.
THE AWARENESS BELL WAS FIRST DESIGNED FOR MOUNTAIN BIKERS TO MAKE OTHER TRAIL USERS AWARE OF THEIR PRESENCE, HELPING KEEP EVERYONE SAFE. HOWEVER SINCE LAUNCHING THE AWARENESS BELL BACK IN 2013, PEOPLE HAVE FOUND MANY GREAT USES AS AN EXTRA PIECE OF SECURITY. FOR EXAMPLE; DOG OWNERS ARE USING THEM TO KEEP TRACK OF THEIR DOGS IN AND OUTDOORS, HUNTERS AND HIKERS USE IT AS THEY ARE WALKING THROUGH BEAR AND MOUNTAIN LION COUNTRY, AND PARENTS PUT IT ON THEIR JOGGING STROLLERS. Different Uses of the Awareness Bell
How They Work
A bell communicates for the user in a friendly, passive way to alert others of your presence. In my many years of riding experience, I have heard a lot of different techniques for alerting people such as whistling, shouting,” coming up on your left”, or loud free hub. But really all those are not very effective and don’t work the same as having a bell Speak for you . The right bell on your bike is a game changer!
YOU TURN THE BELL ON AND OFF BY PULLING ON THE STRIKER WHICH IS ATTACHED TO A SPRING. THE STRIKER HAS 4 SLOTS THAT CAN BE ATTACHED TO THE SIDE OF THE BELL TO SILENCE IT WHEN NOT NEEDED.
The velcro strap is custom made by me, for an awareness bell. It is about 9 inches long and provides enough overlap to wrap around the bulge part of a 35 mm handle bar. I supply a velcro dot along with every strap. The dot is to be placed on the under side of the handle bar/frame with the velcro strap wrapped around. There are various ways to mount my Awareness Bell with or without the velcro dot. Watch the video above for instruction.
